Rich Cronin Hope Foundation

The Rich Cronin Hope Foundation is a fantastic non-profit organization that is committed to promoting global awareness about Leukemia and fund raising for research and patient care. It is a huge honor for me to sit on the advisory board of directors.

I have acted as Director on the advisory board of a family held non-profit charity committed to promoting global awareness about Leukemia and fundraising for research and patient care.

Acting in capacity of marketing and strategic planning coordinator.

As artist, I have helped pitch in to create awareness and raise money by my paintings…

The 14 new paintings were auctioned the proceeds will go to the Rich Cronin Hope Foundation.

The series is called “Rich man, poor man…”

It is a series of 14 paintings that, as you can see, resemble each other.

The catalogue is as follows:

Two 24″x18″ @ $250 each
Three 12″x9″ @ $100 each
Six 8″x10″ @ $75 each
Three 5″x7″ @ 50 each

The synopsis – first I painted each individual painting. Each different, each with different textures, styles, techniques, histories, colors, themes, etc. Some were made with gold, some with common sand, some with threads from exotic lands.

In this stage they represented people. All different types of people and each could stand on
their own merit.

Then I covered them all in orange acrylic. This represents the diagnosis of Leukemia…and the unbiased attack the disease can have on us all…

Then I painted on that layer with four colors, black, orange, yellow and white…despair, hope,
caring and life. I used satin acrylic white over high gloss…I love how the satin cracks as it
ages…it becomes more defined, more beautiful…just like life.

As the paintings sat there, in rows like hospital beds each one developed it’s own layers and levels of these attributes. Some splatts meant for one “patient” hit another instead, unexpectedly, mercilessly or mercifully depending on the attribute.

Each one unique, yet each resembling one another…each a struggle…

As anyone can get this disease, no matter what background, what creed, what station in life, they are entitled from top to bottom – Rich Man, poor man, beggar man, thief, doctor, lawyer, Indian Chief, tinker, tailor, soldier, spy, preacher, teacher, private eye.
