Artist Billy Splatts! and filmmaker Roddy Von Seldeneck got together to collaborate on an artistic project – filming the creation of an action painting. Roddy captured the painting of “Holy Water”. Using a live model – and painting with sea shells – this piece of red, white and blue attempts to capture the beauty of feminine buoyancy and a love for the sea. Hidden in it’s splatters and drips are turtles, dolphins, whales and seals. The painting will be auctioned off and the proceeds to go to the Riverhead Foundation.
The Riverhead Foundation , a 501 (c) (3) not for profit organization, is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of seals, sea turtles, whales, dolphins and porpoises. The foundation is located within the Atlantis Marine World Aquarium in Riverhead. Please visit their website or visit the aquarium today and make a donation!
Please check back soon for details of the screening of the film and the auction of the painting to follow.
