Army Emergency Relief Fund Fund Raiser
Challenge: How do you maximize the fund raising efforts of a charity that provides support to the families of servicemen killed or injured when those soldiers are fighting an unpopular war? By creating a poignant yet position neutral event that raises awareness and outlines the benefits of the work the charity does.
A huge success! I organized this fund raiser to raise awareness of the AER Fund with the purpose of securing funds for the children of lost servicemen. The charity is one of the most efficient in existence with almost 98 cents of each dollar going directly to the beneficiaries. The biggest contributors were, and still are, the good folks at “Get The Scoop” in North Massapequa. They continue to collect funds via a jar they have on their counter. They match dollar for dollar each contribution made by their VERY generous customers.
